II. Russell Sherman
A Piano Recital. The Festival is thrilled to welcome for the first time pianist Russell Sherman in a program that explores Preludes. The recital will offer Debussy's Preludes, Book II as well as Chopin’s Preludes, Op. 28. Mr. Sherman has been praised as an ingenious virtuoso and an insightful master. A formidable pianist who usually has an original take on any work he plays, he is also one of America's most respected teachers, a longtime faculty member at the New England Conservatory of Music, and indeed, one of the great pianists of our age.
